Andreas Burger Consulting ("ABC", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who is responsible for your information
Andreas Burger Consulting, South Africa, is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. To ask us anything about this notice or your information, use our contact page or message us on WhatsApp.
What we collect
- Enquiries: when you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number and company (both optional), what you need, your company size and timeline (optional), your message, and the page you sent the form from.
- Downloads: when you request a checklist or guide we collect your email address so we can send it to you.
- WhatsApp: if you message us on WhatsApp, we see your number, name and the content of your messages.
- Orders: once our shop opens, we will collect the details needed to process and deliver your order. Card payments are handled by PayFast; we do not see or store your card details.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting records standard technical information such as IP address, browser and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.
Why we use it
We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes and proposals, send requested downloads, process and deliver orders, keep the site secure, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, such as our web host, email provider, WhatsApp and PayFast, and only so far as they need it to do that work. They are required to protect it. Some of these providers may process information outside South Africa; where they do, we rely on providers that offer an adequate level of protection.
How long we keep it
Enquiries sent through the contact form are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically. Other personal information is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires, and then deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies needed for it to work, for example to keep a shopping cart once the shop opens. If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this notice first.
